Grantchat 102114 Grant Silos

We have had “Grant Silos” on the schedule for October for a few months as the idea of isolation as a grant professional from the rest of the team, or the creation of grant proposals in isolation keep cropping up in our discussions.  The need to discuss silos both for grant professionals and in nonprofits as whole was confirmed at #gpaconf14 this week in Portland, Keynote Speaker, David Shoultz (@shoultztweets) of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  David said that we often approach our clients with siloed solutions although their needs are not siloed. What a powerful concern for us each to consider in our role within our organizations or within our support role for our clients.Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  David said that we often approach our clients with siloed solutions although their needs are not siloed.
