This week on Grantchat we have Farra Trompeter, Vice President at Big Duck. She is leading us through a chat about year-end fundraising.
I have been a BIG fan of Big Duck for a long time. Big Duck is a communications firm that works exclusively with nonprofits. In fact, Farra and Big Duck were two of my very first connections on Twitter. I loved everything they did on Twitter and in other areas of social media and marketing. They have a very special place in my heart because they responded to a question I had on Twitter quickly and with personality to a question I had way back when I only had 50 followers! That kind of quick response and interactive communications made a big impact on me, early on in my social media experience. If you don’t know Farra (where have you been?) let me tell you a bit about her. Farra has more than 20 years of experience in fundraising and communications for nonprofit organizations. Farra’s expertise focuses on helping nonprofits create multichannel campaigns and use social media to connect with donors, activists, and other members of their community. Farra serves as Chair of NTEN’s board and a part-time faculty member at New York University Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. She holds an M.S. degree in nonprofit management from The New School. Farra tweets about nonprofit communications and fundraising at @Farra. Please follow her – not to build her follower numbers, but for your own experience and growth!
